Virginia helps eligible children, families and adults access health coverage through ሜዲኬይድ እና Family Access to Medical Insurance Security (FAMIS) programእነዚህ ፕሮግራሞች አንድ ላይ ይባላሉ ካርዲናል ኬር. 

Cardinal Care provides comprehensive health benefits, with some coverage types offering limited benefits such as family planning or Medicare savings. Eligibility is based on federal rules and your household’s situation.

የአካባቢው Virginia Department of Social Services (LDSS) Virginia ልጆች፣ ቤተሰቦች እና አዋቂዎች በርካታ አገልግሎቶችን የሚሰጡ ዋና ዋና አቅራቢዎች ናቸው። LDSS የጥቅማ ጥቅም ፕሮግራም ባለሙያዎ ከሌለ፣ በአካባቢዎ ኤጀንሲ ውስጥ ካለ ሱፐርቫይዘር ወይም አስተዳዳሪ ጋር ለመነጋገር መጠየቅ ይችላሉ።

In most cases, your city or county social services department should be the first call for benefits and other services. However, if additional assistance is required, you may contact the Virginia Department of Social Services at citizen.services@dss.virginia.gov.

You can also visit your local department of social services or a local application assistance site.

CoverVA and your LDSS can help if you need:

  • A new Virginia Medicaid (Cardinal Care) or FAMIS ID card to report changes.
  • To check the status of your application or coverage.
  • General information about Medicaid and FAMIS eligibility.
  • Need help resolving a problem with your Cardinal Care coverage and access to healthcare services.

If you are having issues with your Cardinal Care application, enrollment or renewal, contact the Cover Virginia (CoverVA) Call Center Monday - Friday 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturday 9 a.m. to noon at 833-5CALLVA (TDD: 888-221-1590) or submit a request for help through the Department of Medical Assistance Services (DMAS).
